So, as some of you may or may not know. I have been working as the in-house graphic designer / photographer at an adult toy company by the name of B Swish. As strange as it may seem to some, it's been a serious opportunity for me to grow as a designer and business-lady - considering I am the only creative member on our team. We're trying to give the brand a bit of a face-lift and I have been working on creating product advertisements for adult magazines and our distributors, as well as designing our bi-monthly e-newsletters, contributing to our new toy line's packaging design and our biggest project: the design of our brand new website. You can check it out below. The design and majority of photography is compliments of yours truly. We wanted to design something that was extremely user-friendly, simple and sophisticated. Feel free to check out the page and leave me any feedback - but please keep in mind - although the site is live, we're still working out a number of minor kinks and working to build some of the graphics out a bit further! check it!

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot Carleen & Nick's wedding the past weekend along with miss Rosie. The wedding was simple and elegant and it perfectly displayed the couple's lovely personality. I love shooting weddings that have some character. The whole thing was a lot of fun, and considering the two are soon-to-be practically family, I thought it would be nice to throw in a little extra gift and put together a photo book for them. It's still very much a work in progress.
In other news, I shot Bonnaroo again this summer with Jonny. We wooed, and googsed and I had such an excellent time - made some great new friends, caught up with some old friends, shot some of my favorite bands and of course the highlight of my trip... filming comedian JB Smoove's (Leon Black from Curb Your Enthusiasm) interview in our Asics Onitsuka Tiger tent.
I'm off to Los Angeles in the next four weeks or so.. permanently (er.. well, at least until I get bored again..). More than ready to get away from everything in this city (minus the bhawks and my white sox) and to be inspired by new people, places and things. It's going to be a struggle, but I've learned that all of the best things in my life have come from a little risk..

Universitea Tea Packaging
Dielines for a tea brand I created that speaks primarily for students/artists who are looking for a healthy alternative (as opposed to coffee and energy drinks) to get them through their busy days.
The packaging is meant to stand out amongst competitors on store shelves due to the unique "sack" shape, die-cuts, and design detail. The younger demographic will find this packaging to be relatable and fun compared to the typical dull, cliche tea packaging.
In other news... I'm having a little bit of a freakout moment because my computers USB ports aren't reading my external hard drives... where ALL my work is located. SWEET. hopefully in the AM when I'm down at school I won't be having the same problems. Scarytown 2k9.

summer celebrations
i shot two weddings this summer with my good friend rosie licavoli, and believe it or not, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience. it's a good feeling; capturing one of the biggest/happiest days in a couples life. so many genuine, happy smiles... it's such a heartwarming job. i could get used to it. but first, i need to invest in a flash and telephoto lens.
man, i hope i find a love like theirs one of these days...
(click the photo to see the rest of the set, plus photos from the schultz wedding as well)

bonnaroo 2009
Set up a photobooth for Asics Onitsuka Tigers at Bonnaroo. Jonny brought me along as his assistant. We were gifting performing artists and shooting them while they tried on their shoes. I met a lot of amazing performers... all of those photos are for internal use only so i can't show them, but i did manage did get in the photo pit for passion pit and shoot for fun.
To sum things up.. I'm pretty sure Jonny and I dominated Bonnaroo 2009. ALTHOUGH... Bonnaroo did take it's toll on me Saturday night mid-bruce springstein set, which was a little unfortunate. I caught myself a bit of the bonnaflu, which I am still trying to recover from, but I think my decision to call it an early night gave me the extra boost I needed on Sunday to take it home. Nice try Bonnaroo.
We worked a lot more than I anticipated, which I didn't mind at all. There were tons of people at the fest and I much rather enjoyed being amongst the performing artists and celebrities than out trying to catch shows in the smoldering heat and sporadic torrential down pours. Dominated the boss wooing, broke numerous bonnaRULEs that I can't even begin to explain and slept so peacefully each and every night thanks to the free artist's hospitality drinks and fellow friendly substance abusers. Bonnaroo was pretty much all this girl could ask for; music, drinks, photography, camping -- it was like everything I loved wrapped up into one week.
I was certainly spoiled though - I don't think I could ever do Bonnaroo without my artist's pass. Guest camping, free hot showers, backstage access, free drinks and catering are just too much to give up.
The only thing I would do differently in the future is better prepare myself: Emergen-C, DanActive Immunity Boosters and rain boots are a must.

Josef Müller-Brockmann
FINAL Sign, Symbol, Image project...
we had to create an organization/museum, research the subject, create a family of marks, and organize a poster that best represented our designer(s).
I chose the swiss designer Josef Müller-Brockmann.
My poster layout was inspired heavily his very own piece below... (can you tell?)
